Lunacy turns photos into blanks

And if you disable antivirus software while working on a project, it can sometimes block access to local files, can this help?

Hmm. Personally I’m not using any antivirus software other than basic Windows Defender, so I don’t think that’s it in my case.

It seems to be happening less often with jpegs, and more often with high res pngs, if that helps.

We’ve fixed the font issue in Lunacy 11. Please check if everything’s working fine on your end, and let us know the result

This is still happening. Its very, very annoying and happens with images, text, components, icons… I have to use Lunacy due to our company’s international teams unable to use Figma but i will go out of my way to pitch ditching Lunacy due to the various bugs and interruptions to our workflows. Plus, seeing that this issue has persisted on this thread for YEARS tells me yall don’t even care

I was considering getting us a private server with this program, but after I’ve used it for about a month it’s atrocious. I’ve had Lunacy crash multiple times from me copying ONE icon from a frame and trying to paste or Alt+Drag it out of that frame. It’s ridiculous haha. Also… NO scroll zoom? C’mon lol

Version 11.4 on Windows 11.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with Lunacy. We take user feedback very seriously and would love to investigate this further.

To help us diagnose the problem, could you please send us a DM with:

  1. The log files (located at either of these paths):
  • C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\Icons8
  • C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\Packages
  1. The problematic file itself (if possible)

As for the scroll on zoom or any other missing features, you can always request them here

Sadly I can’t send the logs or files due to company policy. I can try to recreate the issues with my personal laptop but it runs on MacOS - not windows – so I doubt that test would be applicable to my issue. When you test to see if your team can replicate these issues, do you use the corresponding OS of the requestor’s issue?

Also, what specs are the computers that you and your teams use to work on lunacy yourselves? Do you have specific computer specs and brands that you recommend? They seem to work well with lunacy if you can’t replicate this issue and I’d like to try and see if this is a hardware related bug

When you report a bug directly from Lunacy (Help > Report a Problem), the team will get your device specs and app version to do all necessary testing on the corresponding OS.

We don’t really have any specific recommendations regarding suitable hardware as long as it meets the minimal system requirements, since most issues we encounter are OS-related (like no access to the filesystem, for example).

We’d appreciate any additional details about the problematic file. A redacted version that still shows the issue would work great.

Hi there!

After consulting with the team, we’ve mapped out a solution for this issue and are working to include all fixes by the time Lunacy 12 is out. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
