Here is how you can do an outline of a shape:
-remove fill from a shape
-add a stroke
You can find all the needed options on the right panel when a shape is created:
And here is how you can change a circle into a C letter:
-add an ellipse shape
-add a stroke, remove a fill
-go to Edit shape → Open path through this option:
-add more nodes if needed
-click on “Finish” when done
