Borders outside layer area

I’m trying to export a layer of text but the external border is being clipped because the border itself doesn’t within the “text” area. Maybe that’s not the best explanation but I have attached to images to show what I mean. Is there a workaround to get the layer to recognise the border exists,

What I found as a solution was just to slice the area instead which works just fine for the time being
