Bug, files weigh a lot

hello, I found a bug that makes the files are heavy.

  1. I created a new project, put a rectangle on it and imported the background into it as a graphic. I used a photo weighing a few mb.

  2. I saved the file on the disk - its weight increased to 50 mb.

  3. I removed this photo to reduce its weight - the file weighed the same.

  4. I removed all layers and artboards, created a new blank artboard and saved it to disk.

  5. The empty file continues to weigh 50 mb.

I have the impression that the program holds in memory all the pictures that I removed.

Yep, it is a bug! Thank you for the detailed report. We’ll surely fix it in the upcoming releases. Not in the nearest one though.
