Drawing, gradients, font styles, mini map

draw draw
are there any tools/features where i can draw something simple
this ‘pen tool’ seems like it’s only lines - Tools

gradients - Styling
this is for something else pretty simple im making, the steps in link are incomplete but finally figured it out, and figured out how to make the gradients go horizontal instead of the default vertical

font style - Text
where to change the font style? i dont see anywhere to change it?
is it using font already default on the computer or do you need to install font or? i dont know how to use this thing

mini map
is there a mini map anywhere?
let’s say i drag the whiteboard/main space to the left or right and my objects/artwork are now out of view, and i cant find where my stuff/artwork is anymore, is there a mini map i can open to see where my stuff is?

this seems like a graphics design tool, like a figma or canva, or w/e else. those kind of apps are all confusing to me. ppl generally all say they’re all pretty complex, cant think of any other questions right now, ill try making the different things im trying to make another time

Hi there! Thank you for your questions. I’ll try to answer them one by one.

Sure. Have you tried the pencil tool yet? You can draw as many objects as you like, and all of them will appear in the Objects panel.

how to make the gradients go horizontal instead of the default vertical

It’s easy. Every gradient type has a control that in case of linear gradient looks like a line with two points. You can play around with this line dragging it horizontally, vertically or diagonally to achieve different gradient results.

The default font in Lunacy is Segoe UI, but you can change it in the Inspector panel (on the right):

To move around the canvas you can use the mouse wheel. For vertical scroll rotate the wheel, for horizontal scroll – hold Shift and rotate the wheel. To have a closer look at an object or – on the contrary – see the whole canvas, use the zooming options.

You’re right, graphic editors might seem very complex to beginners, but everything comes with practice. For those who are new to Lunacy we created an interactive tutorial. Go to go to Help > Tutorial to check it out!
