As of version 10.0.1 you have moved shared libraries to the cloud. Basically forcing people to work in the cloud. This is imo a huge step back. I work for a client that deals with highly sensitive information and it is absolutely forbidden to use any cloud solution for design and development. In fact, the development environment is completely shielded from the public internet. This makes it completely impossible for me to use any library in your new version. And yes, we do use a library intensively.
Aside from the above, it also feels like a tactic of Icons8 to force us to use the cloud. And to force us to get a subscription. After all, you will quite quickly end up with the 10 maximum files.
Thanks for the swift update and good to see they will be back. Your temporary solution will not work however. As I mentioned in my OP, my client’s development environment is completely shielded off from any public internet. No internet access, no Icons8/Lunacy cloud access, nothing, zilch, nada. I am not even allowed to store any of their documents on my private environment (at the risk of having to pay a fine running into thousands of Euros).
The offline capabilities of Lunacy is one of the main reasons to use it and I sincerely hope this will be kept in mind for future developments (i.e. I hope you will always have an offline alternative for any cloud solution).
I just wanted to know the latest news: we plan to add offline shared libraries to one of the upcoming Lunacy versions. This feature will allow users to import libraries as files.
