Requesting option to change to real world units mm + others

Hey you guys at Lunacy -
thank you for developing this software which I have been using for some years. I know this is primarily for web design but you will be surprised to hear the other uses like graphics design people have found for it because of it’s ease of use compared to the legacy design software.

I had some architectural project which I was using Lunacy for the 2D technical drawings only problem the problem had only pixels units; it would be great if the artboards/canvas would have an option to use real world units like m mm inches for a start and maybe DPI for PDF export. Also local variable fonts properties (like font weight) don’t seem to work and recent 14.1 version has some buggy undo/redo when dealing with that are part of a clipping mask may move to out of range position

Thanks,
A

Thanks for the kind words and for sticking with Lunacy all these years :light_blue_heart:

We get why real-world units and DPI would be handy, but honestly, those aren’t on our to-do list right now since only a few users have asked. Anyway, we hear you, and if demand grows, we’ll definitely reconsider!

As for the variable font and undo/redo bugs in v14.1, have you tried the latest beta v15? You can grab it if you go to Help → About → Check for beta updates → Install

Please note that MS Store/App Store versions don’t support beta installation, so you’d need to reinstall Lunacy using one of the v14 installers from our site.

Let us know if you’re still seeing these issues in beta v15, and if yes, a quick screencast would be super helpful for tracking things down.
